About the Novice Chefs

When we got married in 2006 we both came to the table with a handful of cooking skills and a few “signature dishes.” Slowly we began to broaden our horizons and expand our repertoire. We love to try new recipes and try to introduce one or two new recipes each week that we can share here with you.

In the kitchen, Tyler enjoys experimenting with different ethnic foods and Julia is focused on improving her baking skills. When we get home you’ll often find us in the kitchen together, chopping, stir-frying, baking, and of course doing the dishes! We are still newlyweds by many accounts, and love cooking together in our small apartment kitchen! We hope you find inspiration on our food blog, just as we do from the food blogs we love to visit!

Wow! This is a cool blog! I made the orzo salad tonight. It was yummy and hit the spot – we had ice all day so I couldn’t go to the grocery store and was excited I had the ingredients to make the salad. You made a dull day a little more exciting! Thanks!!

Wow, I’m guessing one (or both) of you is from Arkansas, since you went there for Thanksgiving! Where in AR? I’m a born and raised Arkansan from North Little Rock!

    Have a great day!
    Casey
